Map Reading Drills
Read the map, not a description of one. Travel by streets only, so distance is counted in blocks rather than straight lines. That distinction is most of what these questions test.
How this differs from the real test
- Item format: one fictional street grid and four typed questions. A real map section often uses multiple choice and busier maps.
- What is left out: no one-way streets, address ranges, landmarks or map legend here, only streets, a river and bridges.
- Timing: the clock here only measures your time; it never stops you. A real test times the section, and the agency that gives it sets the limit.
- Scoring: each answer is right or wrong against one computed answer. The agency sets its own pass line and does not publish it.
Ascenvo made these drills. They are not affiliated with any test maker or hiring agency, and they are not their test.
Practice tool. Every street, unit, station, bridge, river and incident here is fictional and generated. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any test vendor or agency, and it does not reproduce any real test's content. It states no passing score, because the agency you are applying to sets that and this tool does not know it.
