Call Data Entry

The typing test gives you the words. This one does not. A caller talks once, at their pace, and you fill the fields while they talk. That is the part of the keyboard gate people are surprised by, because typing speed on a passage in front of you does not predict it.

You get two plays. Type as it runs. There is no pause, because there is no pause on the phone.
Leave a field blank if the caller never said it. A blank is the right answer when there is nothing to enter, and it is scored that way. Do not guess to fill the form.
Some calls have more than one caller on the same incident. A later caller can correct an earlier one; the record keeps what is true, not what was said first.
Line sets how hard the call is to hear. It changes the audio and nothing else: the fields, the answers and the scoring are identical on every setting. Pick it before you press play, because it locks once the call starts.

Practice material only. Every caller, name, address, phone number and plate on this page is fictional; all numbers use the 555 convention and no address is a real dispatchable location. This exercise is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reproduction of any commercial testing instrument. It practises clerical data entry from audio and nothing else: it assigns no call type, teaches no agency protocol, and states no passing standard, because agencies set their own and we will not invent one.
